API Terms
Terms governing use of the Haruspex REST API and MCP integrations.
Last updated July 12, 2026
These API Terms govern access to and use of any application programming interfaces, software development kits, developer tools, documentation, authentication credentials, endpoints, data feeds, models, outputs, and related services made available by Haruspex.
Haruspex is currently operated under the name Haruspex through the website Haruspex.guru and has not yet been incorporated as a separate legal entity. References to “Haruspex,” “we,” “us,” or “our” mean the operators, developers, owners, and authorized representatives responsible for providing the Haruspex platform and API services.
By accessing or using the Haruspex API, you agree to these API Terms. If you access or use the API on behalf of a company, organization, or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and “you” will include both you and that entity.
If you do not agree to these API Terms, you must not access or use the API.
1. Relationship to Other Haruspex Terms
These API Terms supplement and form part of the Haruspex Terms of Service.
Your use of the API is also subject to all applicable Haruspex policies and disclosures, including:
- the Privacy Policy;
- the Acceptable Use Policy;
- the AI and Investment Disclosure;
- the Risk Disclosure Statement;
- the Cookie Policy, where applicable; and
- any technical documentation, usage limits, product requirements, or additional terms presented to you in connection with the API.
If these API Terms conflict with the general Terms of Service regarding API access or API use, these API Terms will control to the extent of that conflict.
2. Eligibility and Territorial Restrictions
You may use the API only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity and authority to enter into a binding agreement;
- you are not prohibited from using the API under applicable law;
- you are not located in, ordinarily resident in, incorporated in, or accessing the API from a Restricted Territory; and
5. your use complies with these API Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.
For purposes of these API Terms, “Restricted Territory” means:
- the United States of America;
- Israel;
- countries located in the European Union;
- countries located in the European Economic Area;
- the United Kingdom;
- Switzerland; and
- any other jurisdiction that Haruspex designates as restricted.
You must not use technical measures, virtual private networks, proxy services, false registration information, or other methods to conceal your location or circumvent territorial restrictions.
Haruspex may block or terminate access where it reasonably believes that a user is accessing the API from a Restricted Territory.
3. API Access
API access may be provided through:
- API keys;
- access tokens;
- account credentials;
- OAuth credentials;
- signed requests;
- developer accounts;
- approved integrations; or
- other authentication methods designated by Haruspex.
Access to the API is provided on a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and non-sublicensable basis.
Haruspex may require you to complete registration, provide accurate information, verify your identity or organization, explain your intended use case, or satisfy technical and security requirements before granting or continuing API access.
Haruspex is not obligated to provide API access to any person or organization.
4. API Credentials and Account Security
You are responsible for protecting all API keys, tokens, passwords, secrets, certificates, and other authentication credentials issued to you.
You must:
- keep credentials confidential and secure;
- use reasonable technical and organizational security measures;
- restrict credentials to authorized personnel and systems;
- avoid embedding secret credentials in publicly accessible code, applications, repositories, websites, or client-side software;
- rotate credentials where compromise is suspected;
- promptly revoke credentials that are no longer required; and
- immediately notify Haruspex of any unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, theft, or suspected compromise.
You may not sell, transfer, sublicense, publish, share, or provide your API credentials to another person or entity unless Haruspex expressly authorizes this in writing.
You are responsible for all activity performed using credentials associated with your account, including activity performed without your authorization where you failed to protect those credentials appropriately.
Haruspex may revoke, rotate, disable, or replace credentials at any time where necessary for security, compliance, operational, or abuse-prevention purposes.
5. Permitted Use
Subject to these API Terms, you may use the API to develop, test, operate, or integrate applications and services that:
- comply with applicable law;
- comply with the Haruspex Acceptable Use Policy;
- accurately describe the role of Haruspex in the application or service;
- implement appropriate security and user-protection measures;
- do not misrepresent API-generated information as guaranteed, verified, or error-free;
- do not create a misleading impression that Haruspex endorses, sponsors, operates, or controls your product; and
- do not expose Haruspex, its users, or third parties to unreasonable legal, security, financial, or reputational risk.
Your use must remain within the permissions, functionality, intended purposes, and technical limits described in Haruspex documentation.
6. Prohibited Use
You must not use the API, directly or indirectly, to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, contractual duty, intellectual property right, privacy right, or other legal obligation;
- circumvent territorial, account, access, rate, usage, or security restrictions;
- facilitate fraud, market manipulation, deceptive trading practices, money laundering, terrorist financing, tax evasion, sanctions evasion, or other unlawful financial activity;
- provide personalized financial, investment, legal, tax, accounting, or regulated professional advice without all required licenses, authorizations, disclosures, controls, and human oversight;
- represent API outputs as guaranteed predictions, definitive recommendations, fiduciary advice, or assurances of investment performance;
- execute financial transactions or trades automatically without appropriate safeguards, authorization, monitoring, and compliance controls;
- create or distribute malware, ransomware, spyware, credential-stealing tools, destructive code, or systems designed to gain unauthorized access;
- probe, scan, test, or exploit vulnerabilities in Haruspex systems without prior written authorization;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, decode, translate, scrape, or attempt to derive source code, model architecture, model weights, underlying algorithms, non-public data, or proprietary systems, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- interfere with the availability, integrity, security, or performance of the API;
- overload, flood, spam, or send excessive automated requests;
- bypass usage limits, rate limits, authentication requirements, monitoring systems, or safety controls;
- use multiple accounts, credentials, identities, or intermediaries to avoid restrictions;

- process unlawfully obtained personal data, confidential information, credentials, payment data, health information, or other sensitive information;
- facilitate discrimination, harassment, exploitation, surveillance, violence, or other harmful conduct; or
22. assist another person in performing any prohibited activity.
Haruspex may determine, in its reasonable discretion, whether a use violates these API Terms or presents unacceptable risk.
7. Financial and Investment Use Cases
The API may provide financial information, market intelligence, analytical indicators, artificial-intelligence-generated assessments, sentiment analysis, risk signals, forecasts, scores, summaries, or other investment-related content.
All such information is provided for general informational, analytical, and research purposes only.
API outputs:
- are not financial advice;
- are not investment recommendations;
- are not an offer or solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any security, asset, commodity, currency, derivative, or financial instrument;
- do not create a fiduciary, advisory, brokerage, or professional relationship;
- may be incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, outdated, misleading, or unavailable;
- may rely on third-party data that has not been independently verified;
- may change without notice; and
- must not be treated as the sole basis for an investment or trading decision.
You are responsible for ensuring that your application clearly and prominently communicates these limitations to end users.
You must implement appropriate warnings, disclosures, suitability controls, user confirmations, human review, monitoring, and risk-management procedures where your application presents investment-related information.
You are solely responsible for determining whether your application or use of the API requires licensing, registration, authorization, disclosure, supervision, recordkeeping, or regulatory approval.
8. Artificial Intelligence Outputs
Certain API functions may use artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical models, automated reasoning, or probabilistic systems.
Such systems may generate incorrect, fabricated, inconsistent, biased, incomplete, or contextually inappropriate outputs.
You must independently evaluate API outputs before using, displaying, publishing, distributing, or relying on them.
You must not:
- represent AI-generated content as human-reviewed when it has not been reviewed;
- claim that an output is certain, verified, objective, neutral, or error-free;
- conceal material limitations from end users;
- rely on outputs in situations where an error could foreseeably cause material financial, legal, physical, or personal harm without appropriate human review; or
- use outputs as a substitute for qualified professional judgment.
You are responsible for your application’s decisions, representations, recommendations, actions, and omissions, including those based on API outputs.
9. End-User Applications
If you make API functionality available to end users, you must:
- maintain legally compliant terms of service and a privacy policy for your application;
- obtain all necessary notices, consents, permissions, and authorizations;
- disclose that certain information may be generated or supported by artificial intelligence;
- provide appropriate investment and risk disclosures;
- avoid representing Haruspex as the provider of your application unless expressly authorized;
- provide reasonable support to your users;
- investigate complaints, abuse reports, and security incidents;
- maintain controls designed to prevent prohibited use;
- comply with applicable consumer-protection, advertising, financial-services, privacy, cybersecurity, and data-protection obligations; and
- promptly disable or restrict any end user whose activity violates these API Terms.
Haruspex may require you to modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue an integration that creates legal, security, operational, consumer-protection, or reputational risk.
10. Data Submitted Through the API
You may submit data, prompts, instructions, queries, configurations, files, records, or other content through the API, collectively referred to as “Input.”
You retain any ownership rights you have in your Input.
You grant Haruspex a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, reproduce, adapt, and otherwise use Input only as reasonably necessary to:
- provide and operate the API;
- generate requested outputs;
- maintain security and prevent abuse;
- investigate technical problems;
- enforce these API Terms;
- comply with legal obligations; and
- improve the reliability, safety, and performance of Haruspex services, subject to applicable privacy commitments.
You represent and warrant that:
- you have all rights, permissions, and lawful bases required to submit the Input;
- the Input does not violate applicable law or third-party rights;
- the Input does not contain information you are prohibited from disclosing;
- your processing instructions are lawful; and
- your collection and use of personal information complies with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements.
You must not submit highly sensitive, regulated, confidential, or security-critical information unless Haruspex expressly confirms that the applicable API service is designed and authorized to process that category of information.
11. Personal Data
You are responsible for determining whether your API use involves personal data.
Where personal data is processed, you must:
- establish a lawful basis for processing;
- provide legally required notices;
- obtain consent where required;
- process only data necessary for a legitimate purpose;
- implement appropriate access, deletion, correction, retention, and security procedures;
- respect applicable data-subject rights;
- avoid submitting personal data from Restricted Territories where such processing is not authorized by Haruspex; and
- enter into any legally required data-processing agreement before beginning regulated processing.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you must not treat Haruspex as having accepted any specialized regulatory role, including a regulated processor, service provider, business associate, financial institution, fiduciary, custodian, or records-management provider.
12. API Outputs and Usage Rights
Subject to these API Terms, Haruspex grants you a limited right to use outputs generated specifically in response to your authorized API requests.
This right does not include ownership of:
- the API;
- Haruspex software or source code;
- underlying models or algorithms;
- model weights;
- proprietary methodologies;
- platform architecture;
- system prompts or internal instructions;
- pre-existing Haruspex content;
- trademarks or branding;
- third-party data; or
- aggregated, anonymized, or statistical information created by Haruspex.
Outputs may not be unique. Other users may receive identical or similar information.
Your ability to use a particular output may be limited by third-party rights, data licenses, market-data restrictions, confidentiality obligations, or applicable law.
You are responsible for reviewing outputs and determining whether you may lawfully use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, commercialize, or rely on them.
13. Market Data and Third-Party Content
The API may include information obtained from third-party sources, including market-data providers, news sources, financial databases, exchanges, public filings, analytics providers, and external services.
Third-party content may be subject to separate terms, licenses, restrictions, attribution requirements, delays, and redistribution limitations.
You must comply with all restrictions communicated through the API, documentation, metadata, or separate agreements.
Unless expressly authorized, you may not:
- redistribute raw market data;
- create a substitute market-data feed;
- remove source attribution;
- use delayed data as though it were real-time;
- commercially resell third-party content;
- store third-party content beyond permitted retention periods; or
- use third-party content in a manner prohibited by the applicable provider.
Haruspex does not control and is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, legality, or reliability of third-party content.
14. Rate Limits and Technical Restrictions
Haruspex may impose:
- request limits;
- token limits;
- concurrency limits;
- storage limits;
- bandwidth limits;
- endpoint-specific restrictions;
- account-level quotas;
- model-specific limits;
- geographic restrictions; and
- other technical or operational controls.
You must not circumvent or attempt to circumvent these limits.
Haruspex may modify limits at any time based on system capacity, security needs, product design, account status, usage patterns, or risk considerations.
Unused capacity, credits, allowances, or quotas do not create a vested right and may expire or be withdrawn.
15. Changes to the API
Haruspex may add, remove, modify, replace, suspend, deprecate, or discontinue any API, endpoint, model, feature, parameter, output format, authentication method, usage limit, or documentation.
Where reasonably practicable, Haruspex may provide advance notice of material changes. However, immediate changes may be made where necessary for security, legal compliance, abuse prevention, third-party requirements, platform stability, or operational reasons.
You are responsible for monitoring documentation and updating your integration.
Haruspex is not responsible for losses caused by API changes, deprecations, interruptions, compatibility issues, or discontinued functionality.
16. Testing, Monitoring, and Audits
Haruspex may monitor API activity to:
- operate and improve the service;
- measure usage;
- enforce rate limits;
- detect fraud, abuse, prohibited conduct, or security threats;
- investigate incidents;
- verify compliance; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Haruspex may require information reasonably necessary to evaluate your use, including:
- descriptions of your application;
- screenshots or demonstrations;
- user flows;
- privacy and security documentation;
- compliance procedures;
- end-user disclosures;
- data categories;
- storage and retention practices; and
- information regarding downstream users or integrations.
Where Haruspex reasonably suspects a violation, you must cooperate with compliance and security inquiries.
Failure to provide requested information may result in restriction or suspension.
17. Security Requirements
You must maintain security measures appropriate to the nature of your application, the data processed, and the risks involved.
At a minimum, you must:
- encrypt credentials and sensitive data in transit and at rest where appropriate;
- implement access controls and least-privilege permissions;
- maintain secure software-development practices;
- apply security updates within a reasonable period;
- monitor for unauthorized access and anomalous usage;
- maintain logging sufficient to investigate incidents;
- separate production and testing environments where appropriate;
- validate and sanitize inputs;
- protect against injection, credential theft, data leakage, and common application vulnerabilities; and
- maintain an incident-response process.
You must notify Haruspex promptly after discovering any incident that affects or may affect:
- Haruspex systems;
- API credentials;
- Haruspex data;
- API outputs;
- end-user information submitted through the API; or
- the confidentiality, integrity, or availability of an integration.
Notification does not relieve you of any separate legal or contractual reporting obligation.
18. Intellectual Property
The API, documentation, software, models, methodologies, platform design, interfaces, branding, and related technology are owned by or licensed to Haruspex and are protected by intellectual-property and other applicable laws.
Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these API Terms, no right, title, or interest is transferred to you.
You may not use Haruspex names, logos, trademarks, service marks, domain names, or branding without prior written permission.
Any authorized use must comply with Haruspex branding guidelines and must not imply endorsement, partnership, certification, sponsorship, or affiliation.
19. Feedback
If you provide suggestions, ideas, improvements, comments, error reports, or other feedback regarding the API, you grant Haruspex a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free right to use, reproduce, modify, commercialize, and otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction or compensation.
You are not required to provide feedback.
20. Confidential Information
You may receive non-public information regarding Haruspex technology, security, operations, product plans, models, pricing, documentation, or business activities.
You must:
- use confidential information only for authorized API use;
- protect it using at least reasonable care;
- restrict access to persons who need it and are bound by confidentiality obligations;
- not disclose it to third parties without written authorization; and
- delete or return it upon request.
Confidential information does not include information that you can demonstrate:
- became public without breach of an obligation;
- was lawfully known to you without confidentiality restrictions;
- was independently developed without use of Haruspex confidential information; or
- was lawfully obtained from a third party without confidentiality obligations.
If disclosure is legally required, you must provide advance notice where legally permitted and disclose only the minimum information required.
21. Fees and Paid Access
Haruspex may offer free, promotional, testing, premium, enterprise, or paid API access.
At the effective date of these API Terms, Haruspex may provide functionality or higher-tier access without charge and may not have integrated payment-processing services.
Free or complimentary access:
- is discretionary;
- may be limited, changed, or withdrawn;
- does not create a permanent entitlement;
- may be subject to quotas or additional conditions; and
- may be discontinued without compensation.
Haruspex may introduce fees in the future. Haruspex will provide applicable pricing or billing terms before charging you.
You will not be charged unless you affirmatively agree to a paid arrangement or otherwise authorize payment under separately presented terms.
22. Suspension and Restriction
Haruspex may immediately restrict, suspend, or revoke API access where it reasonably believes that:
- you violated these API Terms;
- your use presents a security, legal, regulatory, financial, operational, or reputational risk;
- your credentials have been compromised;
- your activity threatens platform stability;
- your use may harm users or third parties;
- you failed to pay applicable fees;
- you failed to respond to a compliance inquiry;
- you are accessing the API from a Restricted Territory;
- continued access could expose Haruspex to liability; or
- suspension is required by law, a court, a regulator, or a third-party provider.
Haruspex is not required to provide advance notice where immediate action is reasonably necessary.
23. Term and Termination
These API Terms begin when you first access or use the API and continue until terminated.
You may terminate your API use by:
- discontinuing all access;
- deleting or revoking your credentials;
- removing Haruspex integrations; and
- contacting Haruspex where account closure is required.
Haruspex may terminate these API Terms or your API access at any time, with or without cause, subject to applicable law.
Upon termination:
- your right to access the API ends immediately;
- you must stop using all API credentials;
- you must remove stored credentials from your systems;
- you must cease representing that your application integrates with Haruspex;
- you must delete Haruspex confidential information where requested; and
- provisions intended by their nature to survive will remain effective.
Sections concerning intellectual property, confidentiality, fees, disclaimers, liability, indemnification, dispute resolution, and other accrued rights will survive termination.

2. USD 100.
Because API access may currently be provided without charge, the USD 100 limitation may apply to free API use.
Nothing in these API Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
26. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Haruspex and its operators, owners, developers, contributors, contractors, service providers, and representatives from claims, demands, investigations, proceedings, liabilities, losses, damages, judgments, penalties, fines, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or relating to:

Haruspex may control the defense of a covered claim, and you must reasonably cooperate.
You may not settle a claim in a manner that imposes liability, admissions, obligations, or restrictions on Haruspex without prior written consent.
27. Compliance With Laws
You are solely responsible for identifying and complying with all laws applicable to your API use.
Depending on your use case, applicable requirements may include laws relating to:
- financial services;

Haruspex may modify these API Terms from time to time.
The updated version will be posted on Haruspex.guru or otherwise made available through the platform or developer documentation.
The “Last Updated” date will identify the latest revision.
Where required by applicable law, Haruspex may provide additional notice of material changes.
Continued API use after updated terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. If you do not agree to an update, you must stop using the API.

The governing-law, dispute-resolution, jurisdiction, limitation-period, and related provisions contained in the Haruspex Terms of Service apply to these API Terms and are incorporated by reference.
If no legally effective governing-law provision has been established in the Terms of Service, the parties will first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith written negotiations before initiating formal proceedings.
Nothing in this section prevents Haruspex from seeking urgent injunctive or protective relief in any competent jurisdiction to protect its systems, credentials, confidential information, intellectual property, users, or security.
31. General Provisions
31.1 Assignment
You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these API Terms without prior written consent.
Haruspex may assign or transfer these API Terms in connection with an incorporation, restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or transfer of platform operations.
